About Claudia
Born and raised in Northern Virginia and an avid mint chocolate chip ice cream lover, I have always had a great enjoyment of helping others, hence my desires of going into the healthcare field. I love anything and everything related to science and would love to share this passion onto others, to help them reach their goals and desires for the future not just related to medicine. I have had experience as a tutor as well as two roles as a teacher's assistant. Additionally, though not professional, I have also assisted many of my friends in their college essays and general preparation. I really do love to socialize with others, which is why I love to tutor and help others.

Typical sessions start off with reviewing the help needed from the student and identification of strengths and weaknesses to better assess necessary resources and what topics need to be covered and then discuss what the student wants to achieve. Once mental blocks have been acknowledged, typical lesson plans will include a presentation slide included with notes, definitions, and information. Afterwards, exercises will be given as well as vocal recall to better retention of information. What sets me apart as a tutor is how I utilize any and all resources on the web for the lesson and make sure to educate the student on such. I utilize the web and technology for the good. Additionally, I am one to always uplift others and always remind others of their motivations and what their potential can lead to, as someone that has always needed tutoring growing up, I empathize with students and view myself not as an authority figure, but rather a friend that is always willing to help. My lessons can be catered to any and all grades and more specifically in scientific subjects and college preparation help.
