I am a student teacher with experience in two different east london schools.
I have noticed that children respond very well to my lessons and become more confident in trying things themselves as well as more intrested and open about learning.

Once I acess how much the child knows about a certain subject, I tend to always try to get the child to try to solve the question themselves or at least to give me one or two ideas of how to go about it.
If the knowledge to solve the problem is not there then I usually use a lot of analogies with much simpler problems that use the same thought process.
