About Oliver
Hi, I am Oliver Friedli and I am from New York City. I grew up there for most of my life, except for when I lived in the Philippines and Switzerland. I am currently a first-year student at Binghamton University studying Statistics and Data Science and am excited to show you why mathematics can be so rewarding. As I know what it's like to struggle in a class, as a current student, I know how to teach you any subject in math.

As a recent high school student, and still a student myself, I understand what someone needs to learn any topic in mathematics efficiently. Mathematics challenges many people's confidence, but after a period of struggle rewards you like no other subject. I would tell my student about my struggles with math to level with them. I will take the student step by step through the topic, making sure their confidence never wavers. Moreover, with experience I know another issue with students is boredom, so through uplifting and visual lessons, this will be significantly minimized. A typical lesson plan will be going through the subtopics of the topic at hand visually, using examples at each step, and then going through many practice problems. The answers to those practice problems will tell me what we should continue to cover or where we should move on to. These lessons are for high schoolers and younger, plus college students up to Calculus 2.
