About Emily
I am a second year student at the University of Birmingham. I would like to tutor English because I excelled in my English GCSE, gaining a 7 in English Language and a 9 in English Literature. I would like to help students reach their full potential and help them gain a better understanding. I have had work experience at a primary school and I'm also a volunteer coach helping Year 6 students get better at reading and comprehension.

Through my 1 hour lessons, I will focus on what the student needs the most help with, whether it is interpreting texts, essay-writing, looking at poems etc. I will go through reading it with them, asking them questions to get a better insight into their understanding and then helping them to understand what's going on better. If it is essay-writing they struggle on, I will help them gain a better structure for an essay which they will be writing, depending what level they're at.
