About Fatimah

About Me & Why I Want to Teach Hi, I’m Fatimah, and I’m passionate about helping students develop confidence and skill in English Language and Literature. With strong academic results in English (GCSE A’s and A-Level B), I understand the challenges students face and know how to break down complex concepts into simple, engaging lessons. I want to teach because I believe that language and literature are powerful tools for expression and critical thinking. Whether it’s mastering essay writing, analysing texts, or improving communication skills, I’m here to support, guide, and motivate my students to reach their full potential. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, build strong foundations for success, and help students achieve the grades they deserve. I look forward to working with you and making English a subject you can enjoy and excel in!

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective. My approach includes: • Breaking down complex grammar, literary analysis, and writing techniques into simple, structured lessons. • Encouraging active participation through discussions, essay planning, and comprehension exercises. • Using real-world examples and texts to make learning relatable and enjoyable. • Providing tailored feedback to help students refine their writing and critical thinking skills. Typical Lesson Length • 1-hour sessions, structured as: • 10-15 min: Introduction and review of previous material. • 30 min: Core lesson (reading, writing, analysis, or grammar). • 15 min: Practice exercises and Q&A. • Additional assignments or reading recommendations may be provided for independent learning. Qualifications and Experience • Strong academic background in English, achieving A grades in GCSE English Literature and Language and B in A-Level English Literature. • Excellent communication and organisational skills, developed through customer service and administrative roles. • Passion for literature and language, ensuring lessons are both educational and engaging.
