About Matthew
I am currently studying Audio Engineering at university.
I always enjoyed studying Maths throughout school and building on the theory I learned at GCSE level, up to A Level and now at degree level.
The problem solving skills learned in GCSE Maths provide a solid base for further education, whether in Mathematics or not, and I believe that the theory can be taught in an interactive and fun way which can often be missed with many school teachers.
Letting students choose their own topic areas to focus on and discover a way they like to be taught is very important to me, and I believe that every student can enjoy Maths and achieve a high grade with just the right teaching - ready to find out!?

I help strengthen each individual students' weaker knowledge areas through easy-to-understand explanation of key theory and plenty of practice of questions targeting those areas and topics that the student may struggle to grasp at first, or in the fast-paced environment of the classroom. My teaching style supports all learning styles, and I can help each student find what works for them in terms of teaching and revision technique.
Typical lessons last 1 hour and are mainly targeted towards students at and up to GCSE level.
I thoroughly enjoyed studying Maths throughout school and college and achieved a 9 and A* respectively so I am thoroughly qualified to support younger students in their journey too.
