About Adam
I am a current Chemistry PhD student at Princeton University, where I research transition-metal catalyzed organic reactions. After I graduated from Macalester College (majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and minoring in Biology), I spent a year in a cancer biology lab at the Mayo Clinic. I also have spent time doing research in other fields, particularly Mathematics.

I strive to meet the learning needs and styles of my students to ensure that they are able to fully grasp and master the topics at hand. I tend to put heavy emphasis on problem solving techniques and approaches, since I often find students who are more than capable of excelling in a course struggling simply because of a lack of experience or exposure to the right problem solving strategies.
The areas I focus on, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and biology, are all subjects that I have extensive experience in -- including in the research lab. Additionally, they are all complicated subjects that I believe benefit from the more concept-focused approach I like to employ in my lessons. I think that all students can not only do well in these classes, but learn to enjoy them as well.
