About Isaac
I’m Isaac, I’m currently a student at NZSM doing a bachelors in Jazz Performance. I started playing saxophone in Dunedin, but currently I’m based in Wellington. I’m frequently gigging and busking around the city. I’m an experienced Saxophonist, having won awards and scholarships for my playing. I was given Best Saxophone Soloist in Southern Jam 2021, and recently received the Therle Drake Award for Best Jazz Audition at NZSM.

I’m enthusiastic about teaching beginner-intermediate students willing to learn more about the saxophone. With my lessons I’ll teach tone production, technique, transcription, improvisation, theory and repertoire. Lessons can last thirty minutes to an hour. I’m happy to help prepare students for things like jazz competitions and festivals.
