About Isobelle
I am currently a STEM student at Michigan State University.
Before attending Michigan State, I worked for the Upward Bound program through Eastern Michigan University, a federal TRIO program designed to get lower-income students into college.
During my time at Upward Bound, I started as a tutor, working with students on day-to-day homework, exam and study prep, as well as college preparation assistance.
I was also promoted through the program to SAT math prep coordinator. In this position, I designed a long-term prepatory curriculum, and then would teach lessons, assign and assist students with homework, and would proctor practice exams.
Even though I am no longer focusing on education, I have a huge passion for working with students and am excited to get back into it!

As a former high school tutor and mentor, I have years of experience working one-on-one with students, designing a personal tutoring curriculum and teaching style, and I have gained a true passion for working with students.
I have extensive experience working with students with day-to-day homework assistance as well as designing long-term curriculums and have converted in-person practices to a remote setting immediately in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As your tutor, I will personally design the tutoring session curriculum as well as our session structures based on your learning style (visual learning, auditory learning, tactile learning), academic understanding, and academic need. My #1 priority as a tutor is to make sure there is a 100% understanding of everything we cover by the end of the session.
I have most experience at the high school level, but I can work with any age group and can adjust my teaching styles accordingly.
