About Souvik
I am Souvik, a fourth year student of the prestigious Department of Law, University of Calcutta. As you might be wondering what business does a law student have teaching law, well ever since I was little while everybody else would run around outside and play about, I would prefer staying home curled up with a good book. That was where I first fell in love with the subject of literature. Finding myself in the shoes of those very people I was reading about. It completely changed my world. As my fasciation for the subject grew so did my love for books and the need to accumulate more literary substance. English had always been the subject that let me express my viewpoints, my critical thoughts, my nuances. And as more time passed by I wanted to instill the same methodologies in the people around me. Being an avid debater I used to see first hand how the simple knowledge of English in levels slightly above your peers set you far apart from the competition. Had it not been my acute love for the law I would have ended up teaching English on a professional level. But I can assure you that through my classes you will be able to view literature on a completely different level and in no time will be able to command the subject as your own. Don't believe me? Give it a shot and see for yourself.

English as a subject should be an interactive one. Unlike how we have been persuaded in schools to simply approach it as just a necessity. It’s imperative to build lesson plans around activities that all students can feel comfortable with and relate to. My method of teaching involves ideation>verbalization>actualization. Expression of thought or effective expression of thought is the most important tool which I aim to instill in my students. If a person can go out into the world being able to read and write WELL, nothing can stop them.
The classes are meant for students from standards 5-12 irrespective of their boards or curriculum. And I hope to cater to their needs in a streamlined method and make them submerge themselves in the subject.
