About Tharunya

I have worked at a tutoring centre with over 100 children for maths and English from nursery till year 10. Most of my children have reached levels above the average compared to other schools.

Moreover, I do private tutoring for my family and friends for 11 plus and GCSEs and they've found my teaching helpful, as I give useful tips when answering questions

About the lesson

My teaching method can vary, from using the whiteboard to using worksheets and drawings. I like to adjust the way I teach to my student, as I believe not all children like the same method of teaching.

On the first lesson, I would give them a mini test upon what they've learnt so far, then I will look at their weaknesses and go over those in their upcoming lessons by giving them tips and tricks, along with that I would also go over any topics they want me to go over too.
Towards the beginning of the lesson, I will give them a starter which would contain a mixture of what they got taught last lesson and their strengths too.
And for their reflection/homework, I would give them exam-style questions and go over it together during their next lesson.
