About Francis
My passion for teaching goes far beyond textbooks and tests—it was born in the classroom, watching bright students lose confidence simply because a concept was explained too quickly or in only one way. With my BSc Honours background, I see the beautiful logic in Mathematics and Natural Science, but with my PGCE training, I learnt that logic means nothing if I cannot translate it into your language.
What truly drives me is that magical moment when frustration melts into understanding—when a student who was ready to give up suddenly sits up and says, "Oh, I get it now!" That spark is why I chose to teach in both high schools and colleges, working with Foundation Phase learners who need gentle foundations and Intermediate Phase students who crave real-world connections. I am fascinated by how each young mind works differently, and I see it as my personal challenge to unlock that potential.
Teaching is not just my profession; it is my way of paying forward the patience that my own mentors gave me. I am here to prove that you are not "bad at maths"—you just haven't met the right teacher yet. And I am determined to be that teacher for you.

Unlike a typical tutor, my teaching style is built on patient, step-by-step scaffolding—a method I’ve refined while teaching high school learners and simultaneously lecturing college students in Foundation and Intermediate Phase Maths.
