About Darya

I am a trilingual math tutor with a passion for teaching and a lifelong love of mathematics. Since fifth grade, I’ve dreamed of becoming a mathematics professor at Harvard. I’ve taught both English and math to multiple groups, gaining experience in leading classrooms and working individually with students. My favorite areas of math include trigonometry and linear algebra—concepts I enjoy making accessible and exciting. I believe in clear, patient instruction tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. With a strong foundation in communication and deep enthusiasm for math, I strive to inspire students and help them truly understand and enjoy the subject.

About the lesson

I offer clear, personalized math lessons designed for middle and high school students. As a mathematics major at Georgia Tech and a recent high school graduate who excelled in every math course, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. With years of tutoring experience for ages 12–18 and classroom teaching under my belt, I create structured, engaging sessions. Each lesson includes a review of previous material, concept reinforcement, reteaching if necessary, collaborative examples, and homework support. My teaching style is direct, intuitive, and supportive—focused on building deep understanding and lasting confidence. Whether you're catching up or aiming to get ahead, I’ll guide you step-by-step with custom lesson plans and plenty of real-world practice.

Perfect! It's only been two sessions with Darya and my daughter's attitude towards Geometry has done a 180. She is feeling so confident about the material. Darya even went out of her way and made her a worksheet for an upcoming quiz. She's been great!
