About Alize
Hi! I'm a Biochemistry student with a genuine love for math and science and a knack for making them less intimidating. I've been tutoring for one to two years, working with students from elementary through grade 10, and I especially enjoy helping kids who feel stuck finally have things click.

Every session is one-on-one, fully online, and built around how your child learns best. A mix of varied learning styles and guided questions helps find whatever clicks. Lessons aren't just about getting through the curriculum and tests; I help students build the study habits and problem-solving mindset that will support them in every subject, every year. The goal is lasting confidence and a framework of methods that serve students long-term.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to see what came up in class that week, then we work through any gaps before diving into new material together. Your child practices independently toward the end so I can give real-time feedback, and we always close with a short study strategy, whether that's how to review notes, break down a topic, or prepare for an upcoming test. I have a soft spot for students who feel stuck or who think they're just "not a math person." Finding the gap, going back to the basics, and rebuilding from there. That's where best results are found.
