About Jeanette

Does your child struggle with reading, or are you an adult learner needing a fresh start with English?

I'm Jeanette, a TEFL and ESL-certified tutor with a Bachelor's degree, and I specialize in helping learners who haven't succeeded with traditional methods. I use the Science of Reading approach — explicit phonics, phonological awareness, and multi-sensory techniques — proven to work for struggling readers, including those with dyslexia or learning differences. I've taught students of all ages, from young children to adults, and I tailor every lesson to how you learn best. My students describe me as patient, encouraging, and consistent.

About the lesson

I believe every learner has a voice worth developing — they just need the right tools and the right teacher to help them find it. My lessons are patient, structured, and built around you, not a one-size-fits-all script.

I hold TEFL and ESL certifications and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with specialized training in supporting students with learning differences, language delays, and those who have struggled in traditional classroom settings.

My Teaching Methods I use structured literacy techniques, multi-sensory learning strategies, and clear step-by-step instruction. For younger or struggling learners, I focus on phonics patterns, word families, and spelling rules that actually stick. For writing, I build confidence first, then clarity, then mechanics — in that order.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like Every session includes a warm-up to activate prior knowledge, a focused skill-building segment in phonics, spelling, or writing, and guided practice with real-time feedback. Sessions are 100% online — all you need is a device with internet access and a quiet space to focus. I recommend consistent weekly sessions for the best progress.
