About Melinda
Initially focusing on the rigorous training required for complex proofs, I moved into wider teaching after finishing my MSc Biochemistry degree at the University of Queensland. You might find that my background in the sciences helps me explain algebra or geometry with unusual clarity for my students. Working with those who need help with statistics, probability, or SAT/ACT math prep, I keep the focus on conceptual learning rather than memorization. It is about how the numbers actually connect in the real world.

"Imagine the scratching of pencil on paper as we solve your first word problem during our free trial class to identify weak areas. This initial meeting allows me to assess your current gaps in trigonometry or mental math. Since I have 13 years of experience, I know exactly where students typically stumble in a curriculum. We move through the material at your pace while maintaining a focus on deep reasoning.
My role is to provide the structure you need to handle difficult topics with confidence. You will find that I prioritize logical flow over speed.
I personally find the process of debugging a math problem to be quite satisfying. Please bring your current homework help topics to our first session. I look forward to working with you."
