About Lissa

Hi! I’m a UBC undergraduate and former private-school high-school tutor. I help students master math and sciences, raise grades, and build competitive applications. Several of my students have been accepted to UofC and French universities—some with scholarships—and I’m currently coaching applicants targeting UofT, UBC, and leading schools in Europe and the US, with consistently strong results. Subjects: Math (Gr. 4–12): foundations, problem-solving, precalc/calc, exam prep Chemistry & Physics: concepts, labs/problem sets, exam prep General Science: study strategies, test skills Admissions Support: course planning, profile building, interview prep How I teach: We start with a quick diagnostic, set precise goals, and use plain-language explanations, visuals, and short targeted drills to turn “memorize” into “understand + apply.” You’ll get custom homework, feedback, and simple progress tracking after each session.
