About Lucas
I recently received my Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, specializing in gene and protein engineering. I spent a gap year tutoring students full-time with More Than Scores and Tests Ltd., and I have continued to conduct online tutoring sessions while in graduate school and even during the past year while conducting clinical research. My subjects of expertise include math, physics, chemistry, and all sections of the ACT and SAT.

I do my best to tailor each lesson to the student's needs. Naturally, students have different strengths and weaknesses. I have worked with math students are adept at algebraic manipulations, but struggle to see the big picture. And I have worked with students who understand the goal of the question but struggle to evaluate the numbers. The first step is acknowledging these strengths and weaknesses, so that we are not just learning new material, but presenting it in the manner which is most useful to the student.
