About Liesl

I am an honest, compassionate person, always staying true to my values. These values manifest in various ways in the workplace/classroom. I am self-driven, and resourceful. My creative approach enables me to think outside of the box, making me a versatile and effective problem solver. I believe in spreading kindness, always exhibiting a positive attitude. I set very high standards for myself and therefore believe in maintaining my very best in all my endeavor's. I am passionate about teaching and helping others, in whatever way I can. I am a good listener, and will listen to any concerns, fears and aspirations one may have, and the classroom is no exception. I value authenticity, honesty, respect, individualism and kindness. I try to have a positive impact on any person I encounter, and do not only strive to be a good teacher, but also to lead by example.

I am also a Stellenbosch University B.A. graduate and majored in English, Theatre Science and Ancient Cultures. I also obtained a TEFL certificate enabling me to teach English for foreign learners. I am currently teaching English in the online branch for a company, called AMES, based in Vietnam. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in teaching learners of all ages online. I am also a teacher assistant at a Primary school in Stellenbosch, a position in which I can gain further insight into the different facets of the teaching profession.

About the lesson

I am an encouraging tutor that will engage with you in a respectful and individualized manner to enable you to reach your potential.

I see mistakes as proof of trying and encourage my students not to aim for perfection but consistent progress. I aim to instill confidence, determination, resilience and an attitude of life long learning.

You can expect a fun and interactive lessons filled with positivity and kindness, where a strong work ethic is essential.
