About Wren
I am an experienced Flute teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals. I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of playing the flute through structured and meaningful lessons.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals. I train students in correct posture, breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone clarity, rhythm, and musical expression. Lessons are customised to match each student’s level and goals.
I believe learning is most effective through clear communication and regular practice. I explain concepts simply and provide step-by-step guidance. Accountability is maintained through progress reviews and practice planning. I teach with integrity by offering honest feedback and steady encouragement.
In addition to flute, I teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and basic performance skills. I support students with exam preparation, auditions, and recitals.
My unique strength is my ability to simplify complex musical ideas and adapt lessons for all age groups. I aim to create a positive and motivating learning experience for every student.

I teach flute using a methodology centred around Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, designed to develop both technical skill and musical expression. I start by understanding each student’s level, goals, and learning style, which allows me to communicate instructions in a clear and accessible manner. Whether explaining breath control, finger positioning, or music reading, I focus on making concepts understandable and relatable, helping students feel confident from the start.
Creativity is integrated into all my lessons. Students are encouraged to explore different musical genres, experiment with sound, and express themselves through improvisation and performance. This fosters a deeper connection with music and encourages personal growth. Flexibility ensures that lessons are adjusted according to the student’s progress, interests, and any challenges they may encounter, creating a personalised and effective learning experience.
In addition to flute instruction, I cover music theory, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading to strengthen overall musicianship. My methodology ensures students develop a strong technical foundation, expressive abilities, and confidence, while making learning enjoyable, inspiring, and tailored to their individual journey in music.
