About JR
My senior year of high school, I had one math teacher who would forever change the way I look at math. He demystified daunting topics in new ways, and I aim to be that same kind of teacher for as many people as possible. I have almost two years of teaching experience in biology, chemistry, calculus, and more, and I’ve found teaching to be incredibly rewarding. As we work through complicated topics, a general lesson will begin with a conceptual overview and a discussion of how to approach a question. Then, through a series of worked examples, we’ll transition from highly-aided problem solving to independent thinking. At the end, we’ll return to that conceptual overview from the beginning and flesh it out, building an intuitive framework for a given topic.
