About Linda

High quality professional teacher with high teacher ratings. I have 3 master’s degrees which allow me to work with a variety of age ranges, especially in reading and writing skills. I have a master’s in German (philology track), master’s in Applied Linguistics & TESOL, and a Master’s in Teaching early childhood through 6th grade (all core subjects) with additional ESL concentration and certification. I am the teacher that can tutor your English language needs at any age! I teach young learners how to read and write, math, social studies, and Science currently as an elementary teacher full time for a local school district. I am fully state certified as well to teach all core subjects to elementary children. I’m willing and able to cater to your child’s needs in any core subject, but I can also help anyone of any age needing reading/writing support. I have several years experience teaching college level English Writing before working with kids and can help with academic language proficiency, college essay writing, and citation support.

About the lesson

I have been an elementary teacher for 5 years teaching all core subjects. I also have degrees in Applied Linguistics & TESOL and German. I taught English and German classes at the University of Alabama before working with children. I specialized in working at the University’s Writing Center offering tutoring services for college writing and essays (undergraduate and graduate studies). I have specialty state certification in the Science of Teaching Reading to children and have experience working with children needing special education or dyslexia services. I can tutor any age range in Reading/Writing from K-12 on into college. I can teach children how to read and write or help a high schooler/college student with MLA and APA style essays. Please reach out for your ELA needs! I also specialize with certifications in teaching English to speakers of other languages (all ages).
