About Christina

Christina is a university lecturer and tutor who holds a BA (Hons) with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa in Classics from Stanford University, an MLitt with distinction in (Medieval) History from the University of Glasgow, an MA with distinction in (Medieval) Archaeology from Durham University, and recently completed a PhD in Archaeology at Durham University. Over the past decade she's been employed by Stanford University, Durham University, and the University of Glasgow to teach writing to their students. Christina's writing and analytical skills have helped her earn places and funding at the top American universities (including Ivy Leagues) and British universities (including Cambridge, Oxford, and Durham) at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In all, Christina values thoughtful feedback and attentive listening. She knows the value of a great teacher and works to offer a supportive, kind environment in which to learn. Writing can be a daunting task, but when you have the right toolkit it can actually become enjoyable!

About the lesson

Are you a secondary school student or university student struggling with your writing? You're not alone! Do you need tools to be able to organise your thoughts coherently and write with poise and clarity? Regardless of your intended degree path, writing is your transferable skill—your ticket to landing that great mark or desired job. Christina's writing tutoring sessions usually run one hour but she's happy to talk through what suits you best. Christina will always begin by assessing your writing needs and will devise a clear plan with you for working towards those goals. She is efficient and clear in communication—just what your writing should be!
