About Sofia
I love working with students because I learn just as much throughout the process as they do! I hold myself to a very high standard as a learner and even higher as a teacher.
However, I’m a kind, patient, and understanding person by nature, and I am willing to work with students starting from their comfort level to achieve their goals.
I hold a BS in physics from UT Austin, where I also did quite a bit of chemical engineering coursework. After college, I worked at a start up as a software engineer specializing in mobile/web app development.

My students have called me patient, kind, and good at explaining and walking them through how to think through a problem.
My field of expertise is physics, but I’m comfortable with all kinds of math as well as chemistry and coding. Happy to offer help on homework, studying and projects.
I can also help with test prep! I was a high test scorer back in my day, especially on SAT math and math subject test as well as Physics GRE. I can help make a study plan or help go over problems or concepts that you are struggling with!
