About Ira
Hey! My name is Ira! When I was 35 years old, I moved to the USA. Before moving, I studied English with a tutor for a long time, but when I came to America, I realized that I didn’t understand native speakers at all, and they almost didn’t understand me either. It was very annoying and awkward! I felt like a black sheep... But that's why I was motivated to quickly learn real English, and I found a way to do it very quickly! I learned to speak at the native level in 6 months and after that people accepted me as an American (and didn`t avoid conversation like before) and my life changed for the better! Any language is made for communication and I really like to talk about different topics (that's why I quickly learned English) with my students! But of course, a language is a system, and to make it easy to understand, grammar and pronunciation exist. The most effective and easy way to learn grammar is by grammar tenses (I also give my students a little bit of homework). We take one tense with my students and we speak in it until it`s completely mastered and at the same time we practice perfect pronunciation. This is the most wholesome and natural way to learn any language!
And of course, I like to play speaking games with my students and then they forget that they`re even learning and just have fun :)
