About James
James has taught voice for over 30 years privately and for university, community college and performing arts high schools. He holds a Fellowship in Musicology from London College of Music (2016) and MM and BM degrees from CSUF (95, 92).
James teaches all genres of voice and lessons includes music theory and ear training.

James Spencer of Spencer Artist Development is a noted Los Angeles based industry vocal coach. Many of his students are recording artists and with both on Broadway and with opera companies around the globe. James has taught voice both privately and for university, community college and performing arts high schools. As an artist developer he prepares talented students for careers in the arts and aids his students with the business end of the arts as well. James is on faculty at University of West London and offers internationally accredited vocal and musical theatre grade programs. Lessons are available online or at his Long Beach studio in 45, 60 and 90 min weekly spots.
