About Kim

Hello and welcome! My name is Kim, and I’m so excited to be part of your English learning journey. With over 7 years of experience in customer support and client communication, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to explain things clearly, listen with empathy, and connect with people from all walks of life. For the past three years, I’ve also been homeschooling my children, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and love for teaching in a one-on-one setting. About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring is rooted in patience, personalization, and building real human connection. I believe that language learning should feel encouraging, not intimidating—so I create a warm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing from them.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s unique goals, whether they're learning for travel, work, school, or personal growth. I use a mix of conversation practice, real-life scenarios, vocabulary building, and grammar support, all while keeping the sessions interactive and relevant to the student’s interests. I also draw from my experience in customer support to clearly explain concepts and communicate in a calm, easy-to-understand way.

I am fluent in English and able to teach in English only, but I work well with students who speak a variety of first languages and adjust my pacing and teaching style accordingly.

A typical lesson with me includes a short warm-up, focused skill-building activities (listening, speaking, reading, or writing), and a review to reinforce what we’ve learned. I always encourage questions and take time to ensure my students feel confident before moving on.

My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate learners, including young adults and adults who may be new to English or looking to build fluency and confidence in everyday conversation, business communication, or academic settings.
