About Alba
In 2010, I did a one year certification in teaching Spanish as foreign language in Mexico. This certification gave me the opportunity to work in a college in the United States, first as an assistant, then as a instructor. At the same time I started the specialization in teaching Spanish, and it took me some time to finish but finally graduated in 2017. I was living in Canada already. I taught Spanish to children on Saturdays, and online to adults during the weekdays. I made a long pause later on to take care of my first born, and also decided to study to be an early childhood educator later. Now I am ready to go back to my Spanish students, including the littlest ones.

I use the communicational approach. This approach is focused on daily life communication needs. I can adapt this to your personal needs or goals.
A typical lesson would include a warm-up small conversation with the student. Then we will go to the objectives of the day described in a communicational need, for example, how to describe the weather OR how to buy and pay in a grocery store.
I also include pronunciation practice, vocabulary and grammar related to the topic of the day.
I can adapt my lessons to your current level of Spanish, from beginners to advanced.
I am not only a native speaker of Spanish, but a specialist in teaching Spanish as a foreign language with 8 years of experience.
