About Cheryl

I have retired from my SENDCo role at a large local school and am now concentrating on tutoring. With 33 years' experience, I can create learning plans for schools with bespoke strategies for the individual. I teach all ages from 5-18 and am experienced in supporting Dyslexic and Dyspraxic students.

Using multi-sensory methods, I teach reading, general literacy and GCSE English. Lessons are for one hour in my home or online. I am a diagnostic assessor for Dyslexia and am on the active list of assessors and teachers for the British Dyslexia Association. I am also a music specialist and teach piano and music theory, including GCSE music.
