About Tim
I am currently a student myself working towards a master's degree in educational leadership. I have worked in private special education with students who are profoundly disabled and work in public education for students who need some extra support in a specialized program. I care deeply about providing a holistic approach to learning, everything is interconnected and the more you learn the better you become at learning. Patience is everything and I will always look for ways to become intrinsically invested in the learning journey.

Effective teaching is relationship-based. My first goal when meeting a new student is simply to build a relationship of trust and respect. Building a comfort level with each other allows me to meet a student where they are in their educational journey and meaningfully challenge their abilities at an appropriate level for growth. My approach towards teaching is to create a positive learning environment focused on having a growth mindset. All setbacks are learning opportunities and all successes should be celebrated. Working primarily with students on the autism spectrum has taught me that mindset is everything, so I aim to have every student feel positivity and pride at the end of every learning session.
