About Shelley
I am passionate about literacy and reading both in my personal life, with my own children and with all of my students. I am a teacher with 24 years of experience in both special education and general education and teaching phonics using proven Science of Reading best practices is what I do best. I use the Orton Gillingham approach to teaching reading coupled with the University of Florida Literacy Initiative to assess for a starting point and plan lessons accordingly to make gains and create confidence with all readers.
