About Car

Spanish is my native language and I have +10 years of tutoring experience in the Spanish language at different levels, including high school Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, & Honors, as well as College level, and conversational lessons with adult students.

The key to learning is to practice in every way possible (singing, listening to music, reading subtitles when watching a movie, etc.). Let's use the grammar and vocabulary you learned and get you ready to speak this beautiful language, I am more than happy to help you in your way of learning Spanish!

About the lesson

Hello! I'm Carla, I was born in Peru and moved to California some time ago. I have studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I have always been interested in the Education field because it is a very important part of our lives. The most powerful gift we have received is learning. I find very interesting the processes involved in learning in the different stages of life. Understanding this point made me realize that students have different ways to learn and that is why I love helping them. It is a win-win because while they improve their abilities in learning a new language, I do learn from them, too. I like it when the students learn grammar, but I love it when they are willing to step up to the next level, that is, to take a chance to practice and reinforce their confidence in what they have learned. This is what really makes the difference. I have learned a new language too, so I completely understand the challenge that it represents, but also I am aware of the importance of being bilingual nowadays.
