About Tomas
I am a Spanish/Psychology double major at Cornell University about to graduate in May 2021. I have taught a wide population of students ranging from adult inmates in correctional facilities to high school students. I have extensive experience working with the high school population as a college consultant, Spanish language tutor, and teaching the fundamentals of Spanish debate in specific. My students have gone on to receive acceptances from their top colleges and perform at high levels in Spanish debate tournaments across the entire country.

I like to tailor my classes as much as possible to the interests of my students, especially with Spanish because I believe the more engaged one is with the language and uses it, the more they well get out of the lesson. With this in mind, I like to incorporate current events or popular culture (movies, books, sports) to tie Spanish culture with current events and motivate the students to be passionate about their studies.
