About Sara

I encourage you to try these Spanish lessons with me as you will learn the language in a very useful way, sometimes lessons are so theoretical and they forget the practical part, which is also quite important. I taught English to some friends and family members in the past, and they were very satisfied with the lessons. I started studying in the United States in 2022, and I have been teaching Spanish since then. Learning languages is one of my passions and I would be so happy to transmit this to my students too.

From my point of view, the key to mastering a language is learning it in a practical way, and having conversations with a native person is a good way to become more confident and skilled. Also, I am willing to help you with your Spanish classes and exams so that you can be well-prepared and obtain an A. I am very patient and understanding, so you will feel comfortable in my classes. My class is not only based on the hour that I spend with you, in the time between classes I prepare activities and material adapted to you for the next lesson so that you can benefit as much as possible from the class. My lessons are for anyone who is interested in having Spanish conversations, wants to improve their listening, writing and reading, or needs help if they are taking any Spanish course.

  • Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Spanish fluently because it is my native language, as I am from Spain. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking environment allowed me to learn the language naturally and effortlessly.
  • Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

One of the emblematic representatives of the Spanish language's culture is the fictional character Don Quijote, created by Miguel de Cervantes. This iconic literary figure embodies the adventurous and imaginative spirit that is deeply rooted in Spanish literature and culture.
  • Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

We have a saying that I really like: "No hay mal que por bien no venga". The literal translation is "There's no bad from which good doesn't come".

This saying conveys an optimistic perspective on life's challenges and setbacks. It suggests that even in difficult or adverse situations, there is always a silver lining or a positive outcome waiting to emerge. I appreciate this saying because it reminds us to remain hopeful and resilient, understanding that every experience, no matter how challenging, can offer valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. It reflects a cultural value of finding strength and positivity in the face of adversity, which can be a source of inspiration and encouragement for navigating life's ups and downs.
  • Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Speaking Spanish matters to me because it connects me not only to my cultural heritage but also to a vast and diverse community of Spanish speakers around the world. It allows me to communicate with people from various countries and understand their perspectives, enriching my life and broadening my horizons.
  • What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The main difficulty in learning Spanish, especially for non-native speakers, can be the varying verb conjugations and the complex grammatical rules. However, immersion through reading books, watching movies, or conversing with native speakers can significantly aid the learning process by exposing learners to real-life language usage.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

When I was a child, in my free time and during my early stages of learning how to write, I would immerse myself in creating little books. I would spend hours crafting stories and narratives, inspired by my imagination and the world around me. These books became my own literary creations, and I took great pride in them.

I would gather my family members and excitedly read aloud the stories I had written, it was a wonderful way to connect with them.
  • How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Traveling to the USA has been a great opportunity for me to enhance my Spanish language skills. While there, I met many Latino individuals with diverse backgrounds, allowing me to experience various regional accents and linguistic nuances. Engaging in conversations with native speakers in a real-life setting has helped me refine my language comprehension and adapt to different speaking styles.
  • What makes you a Superprof in language?

As a Superprof in the Spanish language, I have a deep passion for sharing my knowledge and love for Spanish with others. I possess strong communication skills, making complex grammar concepts more accessible to my students. I focus on creating a comfortable and interactive learning environment, tailoring my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each individual learner. My goal is to inspire my students to embrace the language and its culture, fostering a lifelong appreciation for Spanish.
