I have been taking Spanish lessons with Lodro for more than three years, after a friend recommended I reach out to him after I mentioned that I had been using various apps and found that I still could not speak conversational Spanish. From the start, I was struck by how thoughtful and strategic Lodro's approach was. His initial focus on the nuts and bolts of Spanish and in giving me the tools I needed to structure thoughts and sentences, rather than just straight vocabulary, allowed me to speak and understand more with greater confidence than I had expected. Over time, I have continued to grow and improve my Spanish skills to a place where I can use Spanish both professionally and in my day-to-day life. Even still, Lodro continues to identify and target his lessons to areas where I am less confident or struggling or to expanding my vocabulary and Spanish skills to be able to speak more naturally and natively and understand more. He also focuses heavily on conversation, which means that I am using Spanish as well as learning it on a regular basis (and also means that, after four years of chatting weekly, I've got a good friend as well as a tutor).
