About Rosalind

I have experience with 1-on-1 tutoring, both online and in-person; and tutoring in groups, in a classroom, and a lab. I have a First Class Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a Master of Research degree in Evolution, for which I received a distinction. My final year project for my BSc was focused on Bioscience Education. I also have a strong background in mathematics, with an A* A-level for both Maths and Further Maths. I have extensive experience working with children and young adults, including those with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. I have had a passion for teaching for as long as I can remember, and having overcome my own barriers in education has gifted me with greater insight, creativity, and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is flexible and firm. I think one of the greatest benefits of 1-on-1 tutoring is that it can be adapted to the specific learning style and individual needs of the student. If my pupil is struggling to understand what I'm teaching, it's my goal to find a new way to approach the material, so that they can gain not only knowledge of the subject, but also of how they personally learn best. I aim to build confidence through praise and recognition of hard work, rather than criticism.
