About Soumya

I’m a qualified British Curriculum teacher with 8 years of experience, QTS, and an MSc in Education — but more importantly, I’m someone who believes every student can succeed with the right support.

I was inspired by a teacher who changed lives by focusing on students others overlooked — the ones who struggled with traditional classroom methods. She didn’t see “low achievers”; she saw learners who just needed a different approach. When she adapted her techniques and tailored explanations, those same students began to excel. They overcame fears, passed exams, and most of all, grew in confidence. That transformation stayed with me.

That’s why I teach. I aspire to do the same. I want to be the teacher who notices when a student isn’t connecting with a lesson and finds another way. I believe that with patience, personalised strategies, and belief, every student can move from “I can’t” to “I did it.”

My goal isn’t just to help you pass science — it’s to help you see that you’re capable, to overcome failures, and to build the confidence that shapes your whole personality. If you’ve ever felt left behind in class, I’m here to show you that you can achieve, and even excel

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is built around the student, not the textbook. With 8 years in the British Curriculum and QTS certification, I start by understanding how _you_ learn best — whether that’s visual diagrams, real-world examples, or step-by-step exam practice. I break down complex Natural Science concepts from my Zoology and Education background into clear, manageable parts, then tailor each session to your pace, strengths, and goals. For students needing confidence, I focus on small wins and active recall; for those aiming for top grades, I use past-paper strategies and stretch questions. Every lesson is interactive, supportive, and designed to help you not just pass, but truly understand. My goal is simple: make science feel achievable and help you become an independent learner.
