About Kai

Hi! I'm Kai, an aspiring medical student with a passion for helping others reach their academic potential.

Throughout my educational journey, I often believed I wasn't smart enough to excel in STEM subjects, which made studying medicine seem like an impossible dream. However, through effective revision techniques, independent study and learning how to teach myself challenging concepts, I discovered that success comes from the right strategies and mindset—not just natural ability.

I want to share these skills with my students, helping them build confidence, develop effective study habits and stay motivated throughout their academic journey. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel capable of overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.

As someone who is neurodiverse, I understand that everyone learns differently. I have first-hand experience adapting information into formats that are easier to process and understand and I use this insight to tailor my teaching to each student's individual needs. I believe learning should be accessible to everyone, and I'm passionate about helping students realise that they are capable of far more than they may believe.

About the lesson

As a soon-to-be medical student, I offer tutoring in A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, as well as GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science and Maths.

I have achieved all 9s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE with an 8 in Maths. For A-levels, I have been predicted 3A* in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and I'm holding an offer to study medicine at Exeter in September.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student and their exam board specification, ensuring that we focus on exactly what is needed to achieve the best results. I believe that success comes from truly understanding the content, so I break down complex topics into simple, clear explanations before applying them to exam-style questions.

Lessons will vary from 30 minutes to an hour based on a pupil's needs, but I am extremely flexible and can easily adapt my teaching style to fit the pupil's individual needs.

Using the study methods that helped me excel in these subjects, I create engaging, interactive lessons that build both confidence and knowledge. Alongside mastering the specification, I encourage students to make links between topics and understand how the science applies beyond the classroom, helping them develop stronger problem-solving skills and approach exams with confidence.
