About David
I'm a 47 year old software developer based in Somerset UK. I have been working in software for 22 years. I was the original developer of, and VP of engineering at stickermule.com which is a world leading producer of custom printed items. I have a deep understanding of JavaScript and have been using ReactJS since 2014. In my capacity as a software team lead, teaching and mentoring other developers was an important part of my role and one which I came to enjoy even more than software development.

I use a hands on "pair programming" teaching approach typically by screensharing a code editor. I can set the curriculum or tailor lessons to the needs of the student. A typical lesson is 1 hour long but this is flexible. I can help students from complete beginners to those with a good amount of experience that want to level up their skills or need guidance on a specific project or area of difficulty. In my past roles as senior software engineer, technical lead and VP of engineering I have had a great deal of experience in teaching and mentoring junior and intermediate developers.
