About Annabel

I am a dedicated and successful Sociology tutor, with a proven academic record. I received full marks in my A-level across 30 markers, 20 markers, 10 markers, and 4 and 6 markers, making me receive the highest mark at my Sixth Form for Sociology. I am a university student studying sociology, and I have a strong grasp of sociological theories and critical analysis, as seen by my constant high 2:1s and Firsts. Each student's demands are catered for in the tutoring approach, which emphasises: Developing Essay Writing Skills: Acquire the ability to organise writings that satisfy exam requirements. Develop the capacity to assess theories and concepts critically by honing your critical thinking skills. Exam Strategy: Recognise the criteria that examiners use and learn how to get the most points possible. Applying sociological theories to current events will make learning more interesting. I will be supportive throughout your journey!

About the lesson

My lessons are ideal for A-level and GCSE Sociology. I am passionate about making Sociology interesting and accessible for A-level and GCSE students. My tutoring approach: Building solid fundamental skills while enhancing critical thinking skills and essay writing. Helping students not only comprehend the material but also find studying enjoyable, I combine essay plans, interactive conversation, and real-world examples. Teaching methodology: My sessions are tailored to each individual's particular requirements and preferences. I focus on: Breaking down complex theories and ideas into comprehensible concepts. Creating well-developed essay plans to help with exam performance and preparation. Improving evaluation and critical analysis skills. Inspire students to develop their sociological knowledge. Class time: Usually run for an hour but can adjust this to your preferences.
