About Ross
I am a sociology PhD student studying public views on the ethics and policy positions appropriate for mitigating human extinction risk. I have done research on climate change, AI, bioethics, sustainability and the COVID-19 pandemic. I also have degrees in anthropology and sustainability.

I am a personable, conversation-based teacher. In my view, discussing written work is the best way for me to assist developing critical thinking and ideation skills. I emphasize that three methods of learning - thinking, speaking and writing - are equally important and must be developed to work together. Writing and thinking are solitary pursuits - I offer development through challenging conversation about a students writing and thinking.
