About Rowena
I am a registered adult nurse with clinical experience in emergency care, flight nursing and medical assessment. I hold a doctorate in healthcare sciences and a master's in clinical research. I currently teach pre-registration nursing students (adult and mental health) and post-registration trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners in higher education. I am passionate about teaching students from diverse backgrounds including those with learning differences. I am passionate about widening participation to ensure that tomorrow's nurses and ACPs are truly representative of the wider population.

Dr Slope offers support with all academic skills including interpretation of assignment briefs, intended learning outcomes, assessment tasks and study skills. I offer individualised and targeted tuition designed to maximise your potential and your time. I will help you identify your key strengths and areas for improvement from a sample of your written work, exploration of feedback, and background of previous learning experiences. I have 7 years of experience of working with a range of different nursing students from diverse backgrounds including undergraduate, postgraduate, pre-registration and post-registration students. I have supported apprentices and non-apprentices on their academic and clinical journeys, as well as those with learning differences. I provide a holistic and individualised approach to tutoring which is empathetic and aligned to your personal goals.
