About Brooke
I am an experienced violin tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional music experience, passionate about guiding students to reach their full potential. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, exams, and competitions.
One of the most fulfilling milestones of my career has been helping students transform from hesitant beginners into confident performers who can play with skill, emotion, and expression.
My teaching emphasises building strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering creativity, musical interpretation, and expressive playing. I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide students with a complete understanding of music.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals, creating a patient, supportive, and inspiring environment. Teaching violin allows me to nurture confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of music.

I teach violin using a methodology based on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aimed at fostering technically proficient, expressive, and confident musicians. Lessons are personalised to the student’s goals, abilities, and learning style, blending structured technical exercises with creative projects, improvisation, and performance practice.
Motivation is central to my teaching. I guide students to set achievable goals, track their progress, and celebrate milestones, fostering engagement, self-confidence, and perseverance. Communication ensures lessons are interactive and supportive, allowing students to express challenges, ask questions, and explore musical ideas freely.
Creativity is integrated throughout each lesson. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises help students develop a personal artistic voice and deepen their emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, forming habits that support long-term growth and excellence.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, providing a well-rounded foundation in musicianship. This methodology nurtures technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and lifelong engagement with music.
