About Blessing

I am a passionate, enthusiastic, patient, and goal-driven special needs teacher with 8years of experience working with children living with autism, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, and other related disabilities.

I graduated with second-class upper-division in Food Science and Technology from a reputable university in Nigeria. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Maiduguri. I am a registered Behavioral Technician, also a certified teacher in Nigeria with (TRCN), Currently doing my Masters in Education.

In 2016, I got a job as a special needs teacher at OLG Health Foundation and Autism Center, Abuja. There I was able to work with different children with disabilities. I work with children to help them communicate and socialize. I teach the children how to write, trace, match and colour. I also help the them in their cognitive skills such as identification of letters, sounds, alphabets and animals.

My motivation is to see the child that I am working with improve and I am eager to see them achieve their set goals.

About the lesson

1) Develop an Individual Educational Plan based on the child.
2) Using PECS, flashcards, and natural environment to teach object identification.
3) Using imitation to teach sounds like "a", " b", "c"
4) Teach the children to participate in the class and socialize with their colleagues.
5) Help the child to write, trace, and colour on the computer and books.
