As a math tutor, my approach blends concept clarity with repeated practice, catering to all learning styles. I begin by gauging each student's proficiency and learning style to tailor my teaching techniques accordingly.
A typical lesson starts with a recap of previous concepts, followed by the introduction of new concepts with ample real-world examples. We will then follow up with guided exercises to strengthen comprehension, and I encourage students to ask enough questions to properly grasp the concept. This session is usually followed with another set of problems for the student to attempt alone, testing their understanding of the topic.
What sets me apart is my engineering background, enabling me to relate abstract math theories to tangible engineering scenarios. My lessons cater to middle and high school students seeking to grasp math fundamentals, bridging the gap between theory and real-life application.
