About Cris

The past three years I taught the voice class for the Music Production Mayor at UACJ and trained some students to audition for their musical carriers at the same university. I am currently working as a Teacher Assistant of some voice classes at UTEP at the same time as I am studying the Music (performance) Master. I sing jazz and Latin Jazz.

About the lesson

First class: Determine the learning style of each student. Get to know your voice and set the goals that you want to achieve with my classes.

Next five clases*: It usually takes us around 5 classes to set the basis of the voice technique. I teach "mixed voice" technique.
Not sure what this means? you can Google it lo learn more about the advantages of this singing technique, or you can let me know all about your doubts during the first sample (free) class.

Next five classes*: Once we set the technique basis, we start working on your repertoire. It usually takes us about 5 more classes to fully see one song with all the previously learned technique and explaining other musical aspects and aesthetic rules needed to perform like a professional.

*The method and the number of classes needed can vary from person to person, depending on what goals we set during your first class. Please ask about other goals you may have.

Next classes: After the first 10 classes we will review the goals and set new ones according to your new musical knowledge. At this point some students start defining how do they want to design their own sound and we work together to achieve the best sound possible.
