About Susan
Breath support often escapes the singer who feels tension in the chest. Anatomy dictates sound. I apply my 6 years of experience to help kids and hobbyists balance head and chest voice. Rhythm and phrasing are essential components of my work.
Warm up exercises are never neglected. Sight singing is taught alongside belting technique. Microphone technique is the final polish. Results matter.

Focusing on diction, articulation, and tone resonance is how I begin the process with any new student. It is a technical endeavour. My training as a BMus graduate in Voice allows me to view singing through the precise lens of a linguist. I spent years reconciling the requirements of a conservatoire with the academic rigour of my language studies.
This background shapes my teaching. I offer a diagnostic vocal assessment for every new student. I find such joy in watching singers develop their vibrato control and performance confidence. It is a personal privilege to walk this path with you.
