About Marissa
I graduated from the Western Austraian Acadamy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre in 2016. I also have completed Grade 5 AMEB Music Theory and Grade 7 AMEB Piano.
I have over 5 years experience in teaching Singing, Piano and Music Theory and have taught kids from as young as 4 years old and have prepared students for AMEB exams up to Grade 5.

Over my performing career so far I have worked with many singing teachers who all approach their teaching from a different angle, so I have many different techniques in which I employ in my own teaching depending on my student's needs.
Though my passion and speciality is in the music theatre style, I am happy to teach whatever material the student is interested in or desires. I also have a strong background in classical singing so aim to incorporate elements of a strong classical technique into every student's foundation.
I am available to help prepare for exams, auditions, roles or just to sing for fun or to gain confidence!
I have taught a wide range of ages in the past from young children to the mature adult so anybody is welcome!
I have also studied Music Theory and Piano to a high level and have a wide range of students starting from the age of 5 years old. My specialty in teaching Piano in particular is working with young kids and beginners and helping them experience learning music for the first time in a fun yet disciplined manner.
Rate is $70 per hour, $35 for 30 mins or $60 for 45 mins.
