About Iyana
I am a senior undergraduate studying Elementary Education and I am originally from Chicago. I have experience student teaching at multiple schools across different grade levels, which has allowed me to work with a wide range of learners. As a student myself, I understand the challenges students face and strive to create a supportive, relatable, and encouraging learning environment. My tutoring approach is student-centered, patient, and supportive. I focus on meeting students at their current level and adjusting my teaching style to fit their learning needs. As a senior undergraduate studying Elementary Education, I use current teaching strategies and emphasize building confidence alongside academic skills. My lessons are best suited for elementary-level students (K–5) who need help with homework, reading, writing, math fundamentals, and study skills.
