I have worked with many students in my college career, and one thing I have learned is that a student will inspire YOU to be the inspiration. Students are meant to be kids, have fun, and learn in their own way. By allowing your students freedom of learning, you are giving them back control over their education, moreover giving the encouragement to learn on their own once again.

Meeting students needs is not based on a group survey, it’s based on how EACH student learns. Furthermore, my teaching methods may vary from student to student. I tend to go with a Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) method which gives the students a opportunity to see it done, they can do it with me, and then to attempt on their own. As a tutor, my idea of a successful session may not involve completion, but progress. Keeping this mindset helps students rely on an accomplishable goal rather than one that may not be met. I can also teach English K-12 so wherever you may fall behind, I can help pick you back up!
